By Zoom videoconference. The Commission will meet for 4 hours per day for 5 days.
Location: 
Start time for the meeting will be 11 am Seychelles time, which, across the global span of Members ranges from 7 am in the United Kingdom to 6 pm in (Canberra) Australia.

Objective: 

The Special Session will focus on the sustainability of the yellowfin tuna fishery and addressing deficiencies relating to the harvest control rule for skipjack tuna, in particular, paragraph 11 of Resolution 16/02.

The data (YFT catches 2014-2019) used to produce the summary tables in Circular 2020-55_Rev1 is available here.

Please note: All participants are requested not make real-time comments related to discussions of the Commission on which no final decision by the Commission has been taken to the public, in particular, via social media. No recording of the Commission’s deliberations or quoting delegates is permitted. This is to facilitate freedom of deliberations to fruitful conclusion during the session. The official conclusions of the meeting will be publicly available in the report adopted by the Commission, which will be made available online.
