Reporting Status

Definition: Binary matrix of annual records of retained catches or discards by species and fishery group (Reported catches summary in support of Resolution 18/07)

Structure of the Spreadsheet:

·         Data: The main form to complete the binary matrix

 General Information:

·         CPC: The country reporting the catches

·         Year: The calendar year the catches were made

 Data:

·         Code: Species code for IOTC species and other bycatch species of interest to IOTC

·         Species English name

·         Species Scientific name

·         Gear Group

a.       HR-Handline: If CPCs have handline fisheries, indicates if any of the species were caught by fisheries.

b.      PL-Pole and line: If CPCs have pole and line fisheries, indicate if any of these species were caught by the fisheries.

c.       LL-Longline: If CPCs have longline fisheries, indicate if any of these species were caught by the fisheries.

d.      PS-Purse seine: If CPCs have purse seine fisheries, indicate if any of these species were caught by the fisheries.

e.       TL-Trolling: If CPCs have trolling fisheries, indicate if any of these species were caught by the fisheries.

f.        GN-Gillnet: If CPCs have gillnet fisheries, indicate if any of these species were caught by the fisheries.

g.      OT-Other: If CPCs have other fisheries, indicate if any of these species were caught by the fisheries.
