Objective: 

The IOTC ROS reporting workshop for longline fisheries is aimed at strengthening national capacities for the collection, validation, and timely reporting of longline fisheries data. The workshop will focus on improving the quality, accuracy, and consistency of data reported, as well as on enhancing the implementation of the Regional Observer Scheme (ROS) with emphasis on the use of the updated reporting forms, data harmonization, and verification of operational and catch information. Through practical sessions and the exchange of experiences among participating countries, the workshop seeks to promote best practices, increase transparency, and support more effective compliance with IOTC reporting requirements.
